A Piece From Shakespeare's Macbeth. ஸேக்ஷ்பியரின் ம-க்பெத் நாடகத்திலிருந்து ஒரு கீற்று.

Everything is in Shakespeare.
Towards the end of his reign of terror, when he is given the news of his wife's death, probably by suicide, Macbeth hardly reacts to her loss. He reflects more on the futility of life and its strivings (Act V, Scene 5):

   19    Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,
 20    Creeps in this petty pace from day to day
 21    To the last syllable of recorded time,
 22    And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
 23    The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
 24    Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
 25    That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
 26    And then is heard no more: it is a tale
 27    Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
 28    Signifying nothing.
           I have given my Tamil translation below. I follow a literary style, rather heavy and strewn with difficult words, in keeping with the age and weight of the original.

ஷேக்ஸ்பியர் சொல்லாதது எதுவுமில்லை எனலாம்.
அவருடைய ம-க்பெத் நாடகத்தில் கதையின் நாயகனான அவன்தன் கொடுங்கோல் ஆட்சி முடிவை நெருங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றது.அவனைத் தீவழியில் அவன் மனைவி மிக்குத் தூண்டிய அவன் மனைவி (அநேகமாகத் தற்கொலையால்) மரித்த செய்தி அவனுக்கு வருகின்றது. அவளை இழந்ததற்கு அவனிடம் அதிகம் உணர்ச்சி மாற்றம் காணப்படவில்லை. மாறாக, வாழ்வின், அதன் போராட்டங்களின், பொருளின்மையைப் பற்றியே சிந்திக்கின்றான் (அங்கம் 5, காட்சி 5)
மூலத்தின் தமிழ் மொழிபெயர்ப்பை ஈங்குத் தந்துள்ளேன். மூலத்தின் காலம்,  கனம் ஆகியவற்றைக் கருத்திற் கொண்டு கனமான இலக்கிய நடையில் இதை ஆக்கியுள்ளேன். கடினமான சொற்கள் பரவலாக உண்டு. ஒரு முறை படித்து, அருஞ்சொற்பொருள் கண்டு, மீண்டும் படித்தால் எளிதாகும். எதுகை மோனைக்குத் திறமை ஈங்கில்லை. அடியளவும் சந்தமும் பெருமளவும் உண்டு.

ம-க்பெத் 

அவள் பின்னம் என்றே மாய்ந்திருக்க வேண்டும். 

அவ்வண்ணச் சேதிக்(கு)¹ அப்போதே காலம்.

நாளை பின் நாளை, இன்னும் பல நாளை,

நாள் தொட்டு நாள் போகும் குறுவேகத்தோடு;

செலும் ஊர்ந்து காலத்தின் பேரேட்டின்² மீது 

பதிவுகளின் இறுதிச் சொல் ஏறும் வரை ஆங்கு.

முன்போன நம்முடைய நாட்கள் எல்லாமும் 

மண்ணோடு மண்ணாகி மாயும் பொய்க்கோலம் 

சேர்ந்திடவே ஒளியேற்றிப் பாதை காட்டும்.

போய் ஒழிவாய் நீட்சியிலாச் சிறு கைச்சுடரே! /சிறு குறுவிளக்கே!

நடமாடும் நிழலுருவாம் சிற்றுயிரின் சில்வாழ்வு.

மேடைதனிற் சிறுநடிகன் குறுநேரம்³ ஆடுவதும் 

வாடுவதும் கேட்பின்றிப் போவதுவும். பேரார்ப்பு⁴, 

மீச்சீற்றம்⁵ முழுதுற்ற சிறுகாதை⁶, பெருமூடன் 

உரையாகும் ஒரு கூற்றம்⁷, பொருளேதும் இல்லாதொரு 

வெற்றுப் பாழ்த் தேட்டம்⁸.
