The Hypocrisy of  Protesting Against Cat and Dog Meat -

All Animals Are Equal, But Some Are More Equal Than Others!

One of the ridiculous outcries of late is the protest against eating dog and cat meat. Why are they special? If it is that they are animals, so are sheep, chicken, fish, fowls of various sorts, cows, bulls, buffaloes, camels and all the creatures relished by people of various countries. 


Is it because cats and dogs are looked upon as pets, closer to our hearts than other animals? If so, cows are worshipped as divine by the majority of Hindus, but no “intellectual” protests the slaughtering of cows for consumption! 


This entirely smacks of hypocrisy, nothing else. However, objective thinking is rare amongst people, more so with regard to food.
